Welcome to Gisburne Park Estate
Welcome to our first ever blog!
I’m Sarah, Director of Weddings here at Gisburne Park Estate and I’ll be writing blogs about lots of different things, but mainly weddings (just because I love everything wedding related). I’ve been planning weddings for over 10 years after graduating from university with a degree in Event Management. I live in the Ribble Valley with my Springer Spaniel Buster.
Located in the small village of Gisburn, in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Gisburne Park Estate stretches over 1,000 acres and incorporates Ribblesdale Park and three miles of the river Ribble.
Gisburne Park Estate was created by Lord Ribblesdale and has a rich and noble past. Oliver Cromwell is said to have stayed at the old house on his way from battle in 1648 and, more recently, Prince Charles has enjoyed the Ribblesdale hospitality.
As the Ribblesdale title died out, the Estate was acquired by the Hindley family, who still to this day own the Estate. As a family run business, our intention is to create a truly memorable experience with exceptional service.
The Estates biggest focus is Ribblesdale Park, a luxury holiday park offering both lodge and cottage accommodation each with their own private hot tub. There’s plenty to keep visitors entertained with an outdoor heated swimming pool, children’s play area and gourmet café. Ribblesdale Park is now 15 years old and continues to grow and develop each year.
Focus now moves to our newest venture, an exclusive wedding venue set within 10 acres of breath-taking countryside. Complete with river, cliffs, bridges and our very special Riverside House. Yours for 7 days, it promises to be something very special indeed!
